Will the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Hotel Get Canceled?
The opening amply immersive Star Wars feel for at Walter Elias Disney World – a themed hotel – was set to open in the proto spring of 2022. In that location was a lot of hype when the project was first announced; however, Walter Elias Disney's Star Wars hotel may not go on, thanks to backlash.
The Galactic Starcruiser was promising to exist a life-dynamic, thinker-blowing experience for guests. The hotel isn't like any other in Walt Disney. With more of a cruise feel, guests would spend most of their time inside the hotel. But information technology wasn't just any ol' hotel. This would be transformed to make guests feel like they were a voice of the Major Wars universe – cosplayers and all.
"Wizard Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is overmuch much than a hotel," an FAQ happening Disney's site says. "Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is an entirely new vacation experience: a 2-night, immersive escapade where you choose your have course inside an epic Star Wars story."
There were already some confusion points for potential guests when the hotel was first of all announced in August 2021. The ship design was confusing because it's non really Star Wars like. The interior aspect wasn't exactly appealing (World Health Organization wants to be stuck indoors after the erstwhile 2 years?). Also, the price give chase is nonsensical at $5000 for a minimum 2-night stay for two people. And while true fans would fork concluded cash in to have an incredible Star Wars experience, this hotel, based on early looks, doesn't bump off the mark.

All of that seems to let caught up with the hotel, and now it might not go on in the least. According to SFGate, first looks at the hotel were met with criticism. And IT didn't get better when in the beginning this week, Disney shared its welcome video for guests who have already booked a stop at the hotel.

The video is incredibly cheap. It gives off serious Power Rangers vibes, void of the complex characters we know from the Star Wars universe. People took to social media to share their dashing hopes—and didn't check on how they really look.
It's surely not what I was expecting. And I'm now genuinely happy I tail't afford it as it looks wish someone's taken elements from 5th Element, Headliner Trek and symmetric Embodiment and completely forgotten well-nig Star Wars. "This looks look-alike a kids tik tok fanfiction shot on his electric cell phone, non an actual element to a rather expensive vacation trip, aboard a star ship," one person wrote on Twitter. "Off-the-wall this is real. If I bought this package trip and I saw this video, I'd feel like I just wasted a couple on grand."
The backlash was so swift and heavy that the company reportedly removed the promo video from its sociable media. Forthwith, the hotel may not happen. The company hasn't addressed the negative care the promos give acceptable yet. But the seeming lack of care to the details summation that ludicrous cost tag agency legitimate enfranchisement fans may be to a lesser extent likely to spend the cash. Which power have the company re-thinking plans.
